Guy McEntyre is one of the founders of Hall & Co Solicitors and has over 20 years’ experience in the Queensland legal industry. Having vast experience in the family law jurisdiction he has advanced his qualifications to attain the accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and Parenting Coordinator with a view to utilising that experience to expedite the resolution of matters in the family law parenting and property areas.  Guy is an Alumni Mentor to students of Central Queensland University Law School and is a proud volunteer for the Mt Gravatt Show Society. He is a qualified Justice of the Peace who volunteers to help the community by witnessing documents. 

When he is not involved with a busy law firm, Guy can be found out at the race track either racing himself or fulfilling his role managing Supercar drivers.

Maggie Chu

Solicitor

After graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Queensland in 2024, Maggie was admitted as a solicitor in 2025. Since then, she has focused her career on family law, working alongside our Director to support clients through a wide range of complex parenting and property matters.

Maggie brings a compassionate and culturally informed approach to her practice, allowing her to build genuine connections with clients and help them navigate some of life’s most challenging moments with confidence and care.

Outside of the office, Maggie enjoys staying active on the tennis court and discovering Brisbane’s best hidden cafés and restaurants.

Luke Livesey

Law Clerk

Luke is a motivated individual with a passion for human rights and promoting social justice. Before transitioning to the legal field Luke began with a foundation in criminology at Griffith University. With over five years experience in customer service and a years experience in the legal sector, Luke brings a practical edge while he finishes his studies. 

His particular interest in criminal law and litigation with expertise in wills and enduring power of attorneys, alongside his current role as an Editor for the Griffith Journal of Law and Human Dignity, reflects his dedication to promoting human rights and social justice. As Luke continues to develop his skills he is determined to make a meaningful impact in the field of law.

Jo Mercer

Office Manager

With over 15 years of experience across the insurance, construction, and legal sectors, Jo brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to our team. As our Office Manager, she plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and excellence in all aspects of our legal services. Her broad expertise and unwavering commitment make her an indispensable part of the firm.

Outside the office, Jo enjoys spending quality time with her family, staying active, and playing netball. She is also passionate about motorsport and dedicates her time to mentoring young drivers in go-karting.
